Il Salotto
Exhibition Room for International Artists
Il Salotto is the exhibition room from Blueproject Foundation designated to works of renowned contemporary artists, proving the foundation’s orientation towards the international art scene.
Core of the exhibition proposal of Blueproject Foundation, Il Salotto, a 200 square metres hall located on the ground floor, is designed to accommodate a careful selection of acclaimed contemporary artworks in an intimate and homogenous setting. Quality, distinction and excellence are the main values of this space which represents the most prestigious section of the Blueproject Foundation.
Retrieving the Magic of Art
Blueproject Foundation aims at recovering that intense and unmediated relation with the artwork, the Benjaminian requisite to access the “aura” of each piece. A space where the spectator ventures and appreciates the artworks in a casual, yet profound way.
Il Salotto therefore constitutes a quiet space that provides the public with a series of collective, thematic or monographic exhibitions of significant figures of the contemporary art scene.
Exhibitions of Great Contemporary Artists
Il Salotto has hosted individual exhibitions of artists such as Wolfgang Laib, Chen Zhen or Michelangelo Pistoletto, but has also welcomed the site-specific projects of Lionel Estève and Pieter Vermeersch.
This room has also seen the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lucio Fontana, Damien Hirst, Elmgreen & Dragset and Ignasi Aballí in the context of collective exhibitions curated by the art direction of the foundation.
