Bukra Inshallah

The Libyan War

13.02.15 - 19.04.15

The Blueproject Foundation presents "Bukra Inshallah, The Libyan War", his first exhibition devoted exclusively to photography. The exhibition presents a selection of works by Fabio Bucciarelli, Manu Brabo and Guillem Valle, members of the photojournalism collective MEMO, and recognized by major international awards including the World Press Photo, the Pulitzer Prize for photography or the Robert Capa Gold Medal.

On 16 February 2011 the first revolts erupted in Libya against Muammar Gaddafi. The Rais decided to respond with the use of force to peaceful demonstrations: the result was a bloodbath, the beginning of the end. Today, after four years, Libya is still on the brink: the government which replaced Gaddafi has not controlled the country, while the militias and Islamic groups are fighting for control of territory.
Bukra Inshallah, the motto of the rebels, has become the leitmotif of the entire conflict. During the eight months that battles lasted, the answer to many questions was Bukra Inshallah: Tomorrow, God willing.
