The work donated by Martín Vitaliti is part of an installation titled es muro es mero muro es mudo mira muere, which was the Blueproject Foundation’s first show in Madrid in 2020.

“On the postcards being distributed, a high-resolution image of a four-color process is indicated. The selected area belongs to the center of the composition of another postcard where Caspar D. Friedrich’s painting Monk by the Sea is printed. From the color spectrum where the four printing inks intersect at that point, I extracted a sample with which I painted a constructed panel that pierces the architecture of the greenhouse. This “large painting,” evoking that exterior oil landscape, which was reproduced, distributed, and commercialized, is in turn caged inside the greenhouse under its conditions.” –Martín Vitaliti.
