Julia Llerena focuses her artistic practice on the perception
of time extended in space and her relationship with it. She
uses her most intimate and immediate surroundings to
approach memory, recollection, and the use we make of the
past in the present moment, nostalgia as the awareness of
beauty knowing it’s passing.
In this piece, she makes visible her local archival data,
escaping a chaotic and amorphous accumulation. She gives
her objects values close to an archaeology of the present.
