The event will start at 6pm with the conference “Envoltura, historia y síncope” ("Envelopment, history and syncope") , by Isabel de Naverán, and will continue with a double session of the performance “DVD DVD” by Vincent Dunoyer, at 9pm and 10:15pm.
“Envoltura, historia y síncope” is a conference by editor and curator Isabel de Naverán, director of the dance department at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. The conference is divided in two parts: in the first, Isabel de Naverán will show us the development of a series of works she has studied, which accompany her and to which she has wanted to answer back. In the second part she will focus on her current research, a delirious journey carried out blindly, guided by the touch of images.
At 9pm and 10:15pm, coreographer and dancer Vincent Dunoyer will present his performance “DVD DVD”, which tells the story of a dancer (Dunoyer Vincent Danseur) through a montage-edition of memories, both personal and professional, which look like a fiction sinopsis. The French word “geste”can be used both in feminine and masculine. In its masculine version, “le geste” means movement, body in action, while the feminine version “la geste” traditionally refers to oral epic poems. Humbly and lovingly, “DVD DVD” aims to unite the two genders and blend them together.
