Venue
Pintor Fortuny 21, Ppal, Barcelona
Starting from the familiar and personal place of an apartment of almost 200 square meters, located on Pintor Fortuny 27, ppal, in the center of Barcelona (above àngels barcelona gallery), the proposal is presented as an attempt to reflect on the space of intimacy proper to the home and the way in which contemporary artworks are presented and stored.
Playing with the traditional and simplistic dichotomy between fiction and reality, representation and truth, the exhibition presents a series of installations that could well be found on a 'real' flat, as in life itself. A series of trompe l'oeils and devices that interrogate the way we consume art –within the classic codes of the white cube– while opening up an infinity of possible narratives, dialogues and interpretations between the artworks themselves.
