Besides its own projects and the exhibitions produced for the venue on Calle Princesa (2013-2020) and other spaces, the Blueproject Foundation has collaborated externally with both national and international institutions and events. This is a way of weaving ties with other contexts and offering further-reaching support and accompaniment for artists who have passed through its galleries.

The first collaboration took place during the 2017 Venice Biennale, Viva Arte Viva, with support for the installation produced by the Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto and for the performance he presented with the Huni Kuin, indigenous natives of Amazonia. In 2019, the Catalan artist Ignasi Aballí presented a site-specific project, sin imagen, at the Foundation’s Il Salotto gallery. This experience led to the artist’s proposal of Corrección [Correction], another large site-specific production of an architectural nature, for the Spanish Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022. That project also had the support of the Blueproject Foundation.

Moreover, as part of a more sustained accompaniment for some of the artists who have passed through the residence programme, the Foundation is providing support for Julia Fuentesal and Pablo M. Arenillas, who will be presenting the exhibition Carrusel together with Itziar Okariz at Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque in Madrid in February 2025. This is a way to stay connected with artists and agents after their time at the Foundation.

The Centro Párraga in Murcia, CentroCentro in Madrid, the gallery ethall, Espai Poblenou and Estrany-de la Mota Art Advisors in Barcelona are other venues with which the Foundation has collaborated on specific occasions over the years. ArtsLibris in Barcelona and Madrid has always assisted in the presentation of the Foundation’s publications, while collaborations with the Barcelona Gallery Weekend have taken the form of acquisitions of works during the event.
