Anna Moreno
The Whole World Was Singing
2016
Wrought iron, Catalan tile, and fitness balls
275 x 150 x 50 cm
Dimensions variable
The piece was part of D’ahir d’abans d’ahir de l’altre
abans d’ahir i més d’abans encara, a poem by Joan SalvatPapasseit that gave title to Anna Moreno’s solo exhibition
at the Blueproject Foundation in 2016. Structured around
three tables—one wrought iron, one wooden, and one
cardboard—the exhibition displayed three universes, three
reflections that were activated through specific events and
on-site activities. The itinerary proposed an experience
that intertwined the negotiation of space, craftsmanship,
apocalyptic sentiment, and music as a legacy in all its forms.
To mark the closing of the exhibition in June 2016, the
wrought iron table was activated in an open rehearsal with
Roc Jiménez de Cisneros and PLOM. Inspired by the spirit
of J.G. Ballard, designed a soundscape for the table, built in
collaboration with blacksmith Jordi Vidal.
