The Blueproject Foundation is a non-profit-making contemporary art foundation based in Barcelona. It is a hybrid and multidisciplinary project that has taken various forms, always generating support, content, reflection and connections over the years. From 2013 to 2020, the Foundation occupied a space of 500 square metres in Calle Princesa in the El Born district of Barcelona.

At its first venue, it presented the public with a series of collective exhibitions of previously unshown art from private collections and ambitious personal projects by major names in contemporary art, together with an extensive programme of residencies. Besides these shows, its two galleries (Il Salotto and the Sala Project) also played host to other formats like performance, dance, music, talks, festivals and presentations.

Since the end of 2020, now without a permanent venue, the Foundation has been developing a more flexible and transversal approach. Besides a series of delocalised exhibitions designed and mounted for each particular space, the project has been enriched with two series of podcasts (Miradas Habladas and Cita Previa), awards for productions and external collaborations with different centres like the Centro Párraga in Murcia and the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque in Madrid.

In this way, the Foundation continues with its goal of opening up to all kinds of ideas, creations and projects that will offer a stimulating vision of current and future aesthetics.
